Portraits
These four are much more beautiful in person - Rachel (TL) who has also posed before, Kristina has drawn with us several times, (BL) Jocelyn, and Rose.
Portraits
Diane in the top-right turned out really great, bottom-left I was sick so ended up using a photo reference that was taken during the sitting, and bottom-right is my friend's amazing daughter Halie.
Portraits
A collection of drawings on the cheap paper featuring Amy top left who has drawn with us as an artist but has disappeared the last few months - must be out having fun.
Portraits
The top row are actually brothers and also the nephews of Tim's. The left and oldest posed during the summer, and Danny, still in high school posed last week. He actually came up a handful of times a few years ago and drew with us.
Some of the drawings were done on some cheap charcoal paper and also cheap drawing paper, both in either pencil or charcoal pencils. Both ways are interesting but have their drawbacks, pencil can't get dark enough for me but I love the smoothness, and the charcoal on cheap paper is tough to lay down exactly where you want it.
So now I'm back to Canson Mi-tientes with charcoal and a litle white, and hope to add some red soon for that Old Masters look! (ha).

Portrait Sketch
Rachel has posed many times for the Murray Hill group and others, including at Ron Johnston's for me and the gang on Saturday for 3 weeks straight. Ron also did a beautiful painting of her during a separate modeling session.
This is the second time she posed for us at the Lit and is one of better drawings I've done, though I wish I could fix the top of her hair (too high!). She's at school in Arizona and in town for a week, we'll get to draw her again in the summer.
Portrait Sketch
This is Abigail who sat like statue. Now that I'm done I've noticed the eyes are off, one of the things I need to work on!
Portrait Sketch
This drawing of Jean was done at Tim's Manly Pad in Tremont since the Lit was closed that Friday for the owner's vacation. Jean has lived in Tremont a long time and also has a part-time gallery.
